Membrane Antiscalants

Our Avista Vitec® antiscalants are multicomponent formulations that allow higher reverse osmosis (RO) and nano-filtration (NF) system recovery and reduce cleaning frequency. They inhibit scale while also dispersing colloidal particles to help extend system run times, reduce cleaning frequency and increase the productive life of RO and NF elements. Most are NSF certified for use in systems producing potable drinking water.

Vitec® 3000

Vitec® 3000 is a powerful, broad spectrum, liquid antiscalant and dispersant that is compatible with organic coagulants. It is highly effective at low dose rates and in a wide range of feedwaters and is certified for use in systems producing drinking water.

Vitec® 5100

Vitec® 5100 is a broad spectrum, liquid antiscalant and dispersant that is compatible with organic coagulants, effective at low dose rates and approved for use in systems producing drinking water. It is particularly cost-effective in seawater and municipal applications.

Vitec® 4000

Vitec® 4000 is a liquid antiscalant and dispersant that offers excellent silica scale inhibition and allows increased system recoveries in high silica feedwaters. It is certified for use in systems producing drinking water.

SPECIAL FEATURE ANTISCALANTS

Vitec® 7000

Vitec® 7000 is a multicomponent liquid antiscalant and dispersant that provides a high level of sulfate inhibition and allows increased RO system recoveries in challenging waters.

Vitec® 8200 Green

Vitec® 8200 liquid antiscalant and dispersant is free of phosphate and phosphonate. This all-polymer blend is compatible with all membrane types and is NSF certified for use in systems producing drinking water.

Vitec® 1500

Vitec® 1500 is a liquid antiscalant designed to inhibit or reduce calcium fluoride, calcium sulfate, calcium carbonate, calcium phosphate, barium sulfate, and strontium sulfate scale.

Vitec® 5000

Vitec 5000 is a liquid antiscalant and dispersant used to control scale and inorganic fouling in a variety of feedwater pH ranges, and is a powerful inhibitor against carbonate and sulfate scales.
